Completely agree, Gionta is awful. Initially I was for him as he appeared to be a solid PK specialist option but he's really looked out of place this year and doesn't fit with his line mates. Time to move on, trade him to Buffalo to be with his brosef.

Gomez replacing him though? Maybe Jacob is better suited? Or someone who actually wins faceoffs. Gomez should be signed as the extra forward though to sub for any of our top 6ers.

yea im so sick of gionta like most everyone else is. hes terrible. should be 13th forward at best. ditto for tootoo and his constant parades to the penalty box. get them out of that lineup.

Yes, but it's informed speculation. There was a report that Zajac was injured at the end of training camp.

The only thing they failed to do last night was get the shutout...mainly because they took way too many penalties. So there are areas that need cleaning up.

I think getting to face a couple of inferior teams to start the season is going to go a long way.
It was so important for the devils to vet out of the gate strong and they did just that. Next few games will tell us much more about what this team really is.

But there is so much promise right now.

After how poorly we started last year it was extra important to come out of the gate right. The fact we are also scoring right out of the gate will go a long way too. This stuff builds confidence and gets rid of those bad memories from last year. So important this team quickly learns it can win and it can score. That type of mindsets is what limits losing streaks and turns bad runs around when we eventually hit one.

Severson really does deserve his credit even if the competition hasn't been high quality. It is still better then anything he has ever faced before.

Best regular season game experience I've had I'm Sunrise. It looked like Luu was the one who suffered the meltdown in this meeting, instead of Schneids.

Took too many penalties though. That 4th line sucks, Tootoo especially for all the penalties he takes every game.

Even Salvador had a good game. Zubrus was once again a beast on the PK. Greene looked a little shaky though.

So glad I didn't have to hear that stupid carnival ride PA announcer yell PAAAANNNNNTTTHERRRRsSSS more than once.

Yes I'll be in Tampa on Tuesday night as well.

My record is a lot better there than at Sunrise. Though we did lose our last two games there. Hopefully we light up Padzilla!
