The only reason they got him in the first place was because of how awful everyone else on the roster was at handling the puck. I’m fine with cutting Addison but if they don’t get a puck-mover in place, they’ll make a similar move among poor options.

From what I've seen Addison isn't good at moving the puck either. Frankly I don't think he's good at anything. Still a worthwhile gamble but clearly a flop.

He’s not but they had nobody on the blue line to start the season with any sort of offensive instinct. It was something that should’ve been addressed in the off-season and his availability early in the season sort of speaks to his ability but Grier’s hand was forced with how they started because he was negligent of this issue.
