You know, the nice thing is February only has 28 days so we will reach March 1, the cap permissible day of Pat Kane acquisition faster. I thought about it some more and there's no way the Canucks aren't retaining. The VK deal has to be part 1 of a 3 way trade that is broken into 2 parts because we need extra few days to bank cap. Lockwood is a non prospect AHL player. 2026 7th is literally the smallest amount of value possible, less than that of a 2025 7th which is less than a 2024 7th which is less than 2023 7th. Lockwood is a contract back to balance the Canucks max contract and the 7th pick is maybe something that the Rangers will send the Hawks so it's effectively a 3 way trade on paper in the end. Not sure about the specific reasoning for the 7th but no chance the Rangers went for Lockwood as if he has value and no chance a team like the ducks or the habs or the yotes wouldn't be interested in VK even for a 6th or 5th.

5-4 in a SO . As bad as Drury has made us....we likely will win this one if most of the hens can shake the Wilsonitis Virus . It will be nice though when we can inject another shot of Cuylee into the team ......we desperately need it to get the hens going again .

Blais-Cuylee-Gauthier must have added something that Tarasenko/Motte/Finn have not . Maybe Kane will be the guy that finishes the perfect Drury omelette......the missing ingredient.....NOT !
