All things considered it looked like that was going to be a pretty good period. I thought they could manage to kill 20 seconds to get out of the period but that was my mistake.

They've had three open nets and missed, Patera has not been good, Boucher. Any chance beyond the first save is dangerous.

The defense hasn't been great this period I agree but that's surprisingly easy to fall into when you have no confidence in a goalie and are thinking or trying to do too much.

Any time they get him going side to side we have to rely on them not executing.

Nah this game 5, 6 maybe 7 nothing. What we need is something even slightly resembling defence to help him out.

The real problem isn't defense, it's offense and special teams. We generate almost nothing offensively so the other team has no problem putting pressure on our defense in our zone. We just have nobody beyond Eichel and sometimes Stone who can score. And frankly, I wonder about Marchy. He's not scoring, not creating and there is something with Cassidy.

We despately need Theodore, Karlsson back and a trade for someone who can score.
