Exactly. This is a must lose. We've got to lose ten in a row. It might make the news. We need Tempe officials to razz the Ice Edge Clowns about it. We need other GMs to bust Chayka's chops about it. We need this. If we can lose ten straight and then 30 of the last 42, they might actually fire our coaching staff. This is the franchise's last chance at viability. If they don't fire Dave Tippett and his staff before next season the rebuild will fail and the franchise will be sucked into another decade of despair.

Be careful what you wish for. Team keeps losing, an already apathetic market becomes more so and you have the perfect recipe for a sale to Quebec.

I hope Tippett has bigger worries than whether or not rt wishes he was fired as a result of his 3-17 stretch... Perhaps if he was doing a better job as GM or coach, if they'd made some correct evaluations somewhere they wouldn't be in this position, and the market wouldn't be so apathetic. Maybe IA could have spent some of the ten million they suggested they'd be spending this year instead of slashing payroll to record lows. They don't even have a lease for next year, so if the price we all pay for DT's stubbornness and incompetence is a relocation, I guess we'll add that to his glowing resume. To be fair, he probably helped keep the franchise on borrowed time after taking over from TGO.
