Hynes has 1 year left on his contract. Does he have motivation to play a guy who he views (not necessarily correctly) as even marginally better over a young player who "needs time"? Hynes should be looking at every game as "how do I win this game tonight". It's easy to say every coach views the game that way, but if he's gotten Poile's commitment to a long term stay it would just seem easier to take some of those young mistakes/losses. Just a thought, but I could be talking out of my ass. I am certainly not advocating for a Hynes extension or really making a statement on specific lineup decisions, but in my head this is worth a conversation.

I doubt it would be. It's regional coverage so whatever you do to get it under those normal standards should work

Did the Ads have the whole week off, though? I might have misread the schedule. But if they did have a week gap, I guess keeping him here for practices is better than there for practices?
