Grzelcyk is a top pairing defenceman

That was probably more difficult than it should've been, but great effort in the third period to win it. Rask had one questionable goal, but was rock solid after that to bring it home.

I'm also enjoying the Grzelcyk-Miller pairing more and more after each game. Little Grizzly has similar qualities that are comparable to guys like Spurgeon or Ellis.

You knew it was just a matter of time for the Bergy line to start producing again.

Rask is playing at Vezina level over the past 10 or so games.

Another gut check win, playing 7 games in 11 nights is just plain grueling, not to mention fighting the flu bug, but this team is finding ways to win. Today's heroes are Rask, the Bergeron line and Chara who was a rock amongst a bunch of struggling D-men. Hopefully with 3 days off we can get our legs back and continue our winning ways.

Agreed. Rask looked bad on the one goal but was there when called upon.

I'm getting sick of all these wins. I really wish Sleepy Sweeney would trade some of these do-nothing rookies for a guy that plays 7 minutes but can punch dudes in the face while on skates. Let another team worry about prospect development, I just want to see concussions.

I've been so impressed with how much better this team is playing defensively especially recently. I really wasn't expecting this.

  • They are one of only 4 teams in the NHL to not give up 90 goals yet(there's some difference in games played).
  • Over their last 17 games, they have given up 34 goals.
  • In those 17 games, they've given up more than 2 goals only 5 times, and one of them was an OT goal to the Rags. So only 4 times in regulation.
  • They've given up 0 or 1 goal in 8 of those 17 games.

I take it this baiting attempt was directed at myself, Fenian, Sheppy and Colt?

None of us want prospects traded. We simply want to see some grit and toughness on the fourth line instead of Schaller and Acciarri.

Vets carried the team. Great game by Chara, Bergy, Marchand and Backes, 2nd place and 11th overall
