You need guys like that. Low level players, cheap contracts, have heart, and play with their body. I.e. deseuilers

I think those counting metrics doesn't favor him when he helps win the puck in the Dzone, gets the puck out of the Dzone, and then goes to the bench while the puck is safely in the OZone. He doesn't get credit for all those shot attempts despite being the reason it's in the Ozone. LaCombe is one of the few d-men to isn't stuck on the ice for too long b/c he knows to change on time.

PK = 5/5; 1 shortie
PP = 1/5; most cut short as we ended up with three 4v4 situations
4v4 = 2 goals in three situations
5v5 = 1 goal

We still struggle to score at 5v5, but we're pretty good at 4v4!

I’ve been hard in Terry, but if he can build on that goal it’ll be great for us. That was what we’ve been accustomed to seeing from him the past seasons.

Has anyone EVER made the argument that Fowler is an Art Ross winning defenseman? Because that’s the comparison you’re making.

My feeling is that Fowler gets too much criticism at times, but he makes a lot of the same mistakes after all this time.

Piss poor holding the blue line
Weak/soft net front coverage

And now, his skating is t helping him as much when retrieving pucks where he looks afeaid at
To get hit at times

He’s been in the wrong position since he started here, but his improvement in that time is. Nowhere near his skills.
