@Machinehead looks like Vallys model shows a lot of quantity instead of quality on shots, what do you think? Is this what it feels like being the hurricanes ?
Even by that model, we outchanced them 40-22 and had the edge in expected goals.

Quality is usually bullshit. The difference between a high-danger and low-danger shot could be if it hits somebody on the way in. Can you even control that consistently?

On the first goal, the puck bounced right to Jenner and that becomes a high-danger chance. No control over a broken play.

Aside from odd-man rushes and breakaways, the events leading to a high-danger chance are random.

This is why our "who cares if we have the puck?" system never works in crunch time and I hope we keep doing what we're doing.

He needs to get to the lower circle. He’s usually at a terrible angle

They have to go back to Shesty.

In Columbus, he was at the lower circle a couple of times and didn't do anything of note. One shot went wide and one shot was a chest snipe iirc.

Yotes are a fast, scrappy, young team, but their weakness is having a small defense. Perfect spot for them to showcase the heavier, harder forechecking approach for the home opener

I love Lindgren and how he plays but he's starting to give me Prust vibes with his injuries. It would be hard to get him to ease up a bit but he probably should.

Just speculating, but I think Lindgren being out is emblematic of our new approach to injuries. I would imagine he's in last year.

Just speculating, but Lindgren being back in after one game is the same old approach of rushing players back from injury.

John Brancy going to surprise tonight with a rendition of 'She Works Hard for the Money'. Book it.
