Do people really think Heiskanen is a Norris candidate? I like the guy, but I feel he has become overrated by the fan base. He is a solid Top 10 guy, but thinking he will win hardware is a bit of a reach IMO.

The sentiment largely comes from Stars broadcasts where Josh and Razor and the intermission shows tell us Miro is underrated every chance they get. It is an every game talking point. So fans can't help but get sucked into it. It's why some Stars fans were mad last season when Miro got no Norris love despite not deserving any.

Miro has upped his offensive game a lot this season, so this definitely helps his chances. But this wave of young d-men who can do magic with the puck makes a crowded field -- a crowded field in a good way. The NHL as a whole is a better product thanks to these guys who can do what they do. The mobility and puck skill from these guys is such a wonderful breath of fresh air.
