Tonight, the 16-8-2 Winnipeg Jets take on the 8-17-3 San Jose Sharks at 9:30pm at SAP Centre. The Jets last game was a come from behind 4-2 win against the Anaheim Ducks, while the Sharks got beaten 5-4 in a shootout against the F*** Vegas Golden Knights, both on Sunday. Can Winnipeg continue their winning ways without KFC in the lineup, or do they really need those 81 secret herbs and spices? Will the Sharks come out with some bite tonight, or does "Killer" Scheifele knock their teeth out? After clenching so hard the last game, will @bustamente's butt cheeks be able to recover in time for tonight's match-up? Can @macmaroon stay awake for the whole game, or will he even make it to puck drop? These questions and several otherzzzzzzz.....

In my last GDT, we looked at various types of ducks, so I thought I might as well continue the theme by looking at various types of sharks...

Not even gonna pretend I'll be awake for the end of this one. Would have been doubtful for anything other than a Friday or Saturday night at the best of times, but with too much time in a flu tube I'm now a walking snot ball. Yum.

As always, appreciate all the effort @macmaroon Jumping the Shark: remember the episode well from back in the day. IIRC it was a two parter; we had to wait a week to see if Fonzie would actually make it over the shark and live. Much tension for the entire week in elementary school.

I don't think that's been an issue this year. Scheifele fought right away and I didn't see the Ducks as being dirty for the rest of the game.

I look at it this way. It was virtually identical to Pionk's knee on knee with Rasmus Sandin a couple of years ago. If you were up in arms about any punishment he got, then you shouldn't be about Strome getting nothing. Remember, Pionk received no penalty on that play and Strome got 5 and a game.

I think I'll be the only one awake at the end of this game, getting up for work in the morning.

Fun fact, the first and only Jet's gave I've ever attended was the West Side Story matchup in January 2015 which we lost in the dying seconds, same night as the WJC.

I barely remember 50 and it's my heart and not my back that's starting to kill me. But let me share the wisdom of being 78: make use of naps! If you want to stay awake for a late night game, wake up just before the game.
