Excited to see Cooley with Keller and Schmaltz. Good to see Tourigny trying something new that has been asked for for a while from fans.

Also good to see Jenik get some time in. I sincerely hope he has a good game and builds on that so we can fire Boyd into the sun.

Considering how Kerfoot and Zucker have been playing I don't think I mind this much. We're still a one line team but we're a better one line team.

Looks like we benched Vrana and completely changed our RWs.

Jake Neighbours (who once was on a line - Neighbours Brown Anas) will be on the 2nd line with Schenn (our new captain and the guy Neighbours lived with when he first came up.

I feel much better about these line combos than the way they had it the last couple games. If Cooley can be smart positionally and not make any real glaring mistakes, this gives him a chance to stick on that line even after Hayton comes back. Best case scenario in my mind is they click and Cooley can handle the responsibility, and when Hayton comes back he takes Kerfoot’s spot with Zucker and Carcone…

For the record, my concern for the first line as set for tonight is the lack of size and any grit whatsoever. Better have Brown out there every shift with ‘em, not that he’s been very physical, but perhaps a deterrent.

I have seen Cooley at certain moments play with a little edge. He needs to do it more, I think he’s just still getting comfortable. He needs to be waaay more engaged in board battles and winning loose puck battles…he’s been too timid in those areas and he’ll have to be much better about that.
