Over the summer, I sent out a crack team of investigators to find out about some of our fellow HFJets posters. What they came back with was quite interesting, and throughout the season, we will look at some of the information they found out.
Today, we will look at the life of one of our more “out there” posters: @Jets 31
Jets 31 grew up on a hippy commune just outside San Francisco, where his mother Mary Jane raised him...
Jets 31 never knew his real father, only the other men in the commune, who he referred to as “Daddy-O.” Things were simple on the commune, as Jets 31's mother puts it, "at least he was housebroken..."
We asked one of his childhood friends what he was like growing up during such a turbulent time. “Jets 31 was one cool cucumber, he would always say, 'I can't be worrying about that sh*t. Life goes on, man...'"
After graduating from high school, Jets 31 got a dream job at Miller Brewing Company as a beer taster...
But his pot smoking eventually led to his termination from the company...
Undaunted, Jets 31 managed to secure a job at Southern Comfort, taste testing White Russians...
But what of his long lost father? Our crack staff of investigative reporters found him recently and asked him a few questions...
Max Jets was an airline pilot for many years and was never married. He had a girlfriend in every port he landed in. When he was in San Francisco for a layover, he met Jets 31's mother Mary Jane...
We asked him about his son's name, Jets 31? “Well,” Max said, “By then I had so many kids, after all, it was the 60's. I ran out of names after about 15 or so. He was my 31st kid, so I thought that was appropriate.” We then asked him why he hasn't seen Jets 31 in all these years?
When asked about all this, Jets 31 simply said...
And the rest, they say, is history...
The Winnipeg Jets take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Amalie Arena at 6:00pm CST. The Jets have a record of 10-5-2 and are 6-2-2 in their last ten games. They are on a three game winning streak after a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night. The Bolts are currently 9-6-4 on the season and 5-4-1 in their last ten games. They are also on a three game winning streak after a thrilling 5-4 overtime win against the Boston Bruins on Monday night. While Winnipeg has had the extra rest, have they used the time wisely to come up with a game plan to defeat the Lightning? Will Tampa Bay strike down the Jets in mid-flight? Can Connor and Scheifele continue to put on a scoring clinic, or will other teammates join in the fun? Will @Jets 31 show up for his own GDT...
These questions and more will be answered by The Dude...
Whatever Dude...Go Jets Go!
