I thought I saw something at the time, but no-one said anything so thought it might of just been my lack of sleep

Also anyone see the 3 stars? All Hawks players. Saad got a star ahead of Fasth :\

Just came to post the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen a losing team have all three stars.

Okay, I just saw a replay of Lydman's high stick. The Hawks player grabbed his stick and pulled it up to his face and jumped back. Holy ****, was that the dirtiest thing I've seen in a while.

Wow, you're right. I just went back and watched it too, that was ridiculous.

My initial reaction when i saw the play was why didnt the hawks guy get a holding or holding the stick penalty.

Because telling us about the conversations in your head isn't creepy :sarcasm:

Hmm.. one day he's talking about his smelly feet and the next, voices in his head.

Perhaps he isn't a computer program, perhaps he's been a real human this whole time.

Gotta be thankful the Blackhawks went into the defensive shell at the end there.

This team has a great never quit attitude, fun to watch. They need to figure out some type of 4th line solution though or they're going to wear down over the course of March.

Agreed. Cogliano is better than him (not an insult) right now by quite a bit. I think that gives me a pretty good idea that Etem is not ready for a top 6 role. Can he be effective against 3rd pairing defenseman and opposing teams 4th lines? Sure, he's proven it. Can he help Teemu and Ryan going against above average NHL defenseman and the opposing teams best or second best line? I don't think so at this point...

i dont think he has tbh. he had 1 multi assist game which came off hard work by bonino. on bonino's first goal it was his nice forehand backhand that got the goal, its not like it was a pretty dish to bonino for a tap in.
and the goal after was just another hard working goal by bonino to outmuscle defenseman and put it on net for the wrap-around. most of the heavy lifting was done by bonino and etem was just a nice beneficiary of that hard work. i'm not saying etem didn't do ANYTHING to help the goal because I do think he caused the turnover on maybe the 1st goal, but he hasn't really seemed dangerous, he hasn't really created many scoring chances so I don't think hes ready at all for the NHL

I almost made a Boner appreciation thread, but I felt it was still too early. BB has been putting him everywhere recently and he has a done a solid job, especially defensively, at whatever BB has thrown at him. Ever since that hatty he seems to have a ridiculous amount of confidence. Also does not hurt that his FO % has skyrocketed. Who would've guessed he would've been our SO specialist?

For all the crap I give Allen I thought he was very good tonight. I can't remember him getting beat by speed once.

You weren't the only one. I hardly noticed him at all today, which of course is a great thing.

Will echo that Allen had a strong game tonight.

I'll give it to you that Lydman wasn't good tonight but Sbisa was just short of terrific tonight.

Could be the best game defensively that Sbisa has ever played. He finished a bunch of checks on forwards after sealing them off perfectly. That pairing clicked tonight.

He's been pretty noticeable on the backcheck, and I always notice him pressuring on the forecheck. Maybe I'm alone on that.

hmm. maybe we have different views then. i'm for sure not calling him a lazy player who floats. he definitely backchecks back into the d-zone, but once he's in there he's not great defensively is what i meant.

Would have been happy with one point from this game, ecstatic for two. Cogs goal was amazing, could hear the reaction in my house from two blocks away. Fasth grinding and making a name for himself in the league - great game.

Also, some others have mentioned it...but this was Allen's best game by far. I hardly noticed him...and in Allen's case I think that means he played his game to a tee.

The defense in general was solid as a rock tonight. Lovejoy has fit in nicely for Anaheim...easily worth the fifth rounder.

Yeah he kept a couple of pucks in the Chi zone I never thought he wouldve been capable of before. Looked at my roomate to make sure that was actually Allen making said plays. Very solid game from the big man.
