It is very important to have elite defenseman to have a great team . Do we already have one or we should still get him .
Is Jamie Drysdale considered the #1 D man available? He might be a nice add if we miss out on Hughes/ Kakko/Dach or Cozens.I’m hoping next year we draft Justin Barron or Jamie Drysdale to finish our future D core.
Then you could see a future top 4 like:
(2) Cholowski-Drysdale (1)
(4) McIsaac- Hronek (3)
I thought I heard the team will be focusing on forwards in the first round. Can anyone confirm this. Pretty sure I read this not too long ago.Is Jamie Drysdale considered the #1 D man available? He might be a nice add if we miss out on Hughes/ Kakko/Dach or Cozens.
Yeah i saw the same thing, That Detroit would be looking at only forwards in the 1st round. Probably D from the 2nd on.I thought I heard the team will be focusing on forwards in the first round. Can anyone confirm this. Pretty sure I read this not too long ago.

Oh okay for the 2020 NHL draft, That makes sense.I was referring to the 2020 Draft. I think Drysdale and Barron have top pairing potential.

Cholowski is a good young player, but being a true #1 is a huge step up for almost anyone. It's not a reasonable expectation, IMO.
Same for Hronek.
I think that's for this year. Which is understandable, because the Wings project to pick before any defensemen would be appropriate value. I like Bowen Byram's game, but he's a solid step or two away from Cozens/Dach/Podkolzin.I thought I heard the team will be focusing on forwards in the first round. Can anyone confirm this.
