Being part of a nice FHL Sim League, i teared down a playoff contending team for a full youth movement. The League got full NHL rerates after every year and rather strict re-signing rules for UFAs, so i thought it might be a good idea to start from scratch with that team.

I was lucky to already have 3 1st rounders when i took over and managed to get #4 and another 1st. So this is what I have right now

Dal Colle - Mark Scheifele - Zack Kassian
Ryan Clowe - Elias Lindholm - Jake Virtanen
Tanner Pearson - Bo Horvat - Beau Bennett
Tuomo Ruutu - Cody Eakin - Quinton Howdon

Hampus Lindholm - Nathan Beaulieu
Ryan Murphy - Shea Theodore
Stefan Elliott - Damon Severson
Jordan Leopold

Eddie Lack
Joakim Eriksson
Niklas Backstrom

In addition to that i have the 22nd and 25th pick this year (we are through to #8 in this draft) as well as some depth guys and pretty much looking at a no 5 pick next year.

Where do you see the weak spots?

Goaltending seems to be an issue but that probably could be solved via free agency or trade when the time is right. Might also need a true number one defenseman.

In 3-5 years your team will be very good, but it will take a bit for most of your players to fully develop into their full potential.

Your D are weak, only 2/3 of them will actually play in the NHL this year if that worries you at all.
