I would have included the 13-14 and 22-23 Rangers but 6 teams can't be in a tournament unless there's a bye. Plus, the three teams that have already played out their season all finished very close in points (109 - 113), the SCF team only had 96 points. Finally, the other three teams all ended up in the ECF and therefore it makes sense removing the team that lost in the first round and made the SCF. Obviously this season requires projection but I think that makes it interesting.

So to me the least talented team was 11-12 team but they had the most guts and physicality. They also had Hank in the best season of his career. The team with the most holes was the 21-22 team but they had goaltending that was on par with the 11-12 team with much better high end talent. But Igor in those playoffs got lucky that Jarry was injured because he sucked in the first round and only rounded into form in the next two rounds. The most well rounded team was the 14-15 team and probably the best analytics team of the four. But they still lacked the high end forward and defensive talent that the 21-22 and 23-24 teams had. The team this year is flawed but I think is a better version of the 21-22 team with better coaching but with worse goaltending over the course of the season.

Also, please consider the additions during the deadline and good health.

Who do you think wins this tournament in how many games?

14-15 had incredible offensive depth but some serious weaknesses on D (plus a coach that loved exacerbating it). 21-22 had good offensive depth and good D (Trouba's best year here) and Shest on lock. 23-24 has decent offensive depth and some real highs and lows on D. Shesterkin and Hank are about equal in a pinch. 11-12 was really not a great team. went with this but ever so slightly

I feel like we got hemmed in our zone even more in 21-22. Although not so much after the deadline.

Ill answer this one again when the playoffs are over. I think the current squad is the best equipped of the 4 to make a deep run. Laviolette is a much better adjustment coach than AV.

this team has way more talent on it.

14/15 team had so many bad calls go against them in the finals. That was a great team.

This has EA Sports written all over it. Someone needs to set the teams up using the real post TDL players and realistic player ratings from those games eras, set the teams up against each other in NHL 24 and cut the videos of the tourney. I'd 100% watch and root for all teams.
