I was always a little hesitant when people were quick to offer him up in proposals. If he can play NHL caliber i wouldn't be opposed to moving Faulk out for a forward.

I'd go with Fleury and Rask, if he doesn't have negative value (which I doubt he does...yet)

Derek Ryan sounded so depressed

I think he knows he's gotta become a coach or something if he wants to stay around in the NHL

I thought the same thing

I forgot about Booth. It's too bad Ned isn't doing better in Charlotte. With Ward's contract up this year, it'd be nice to be able to bring him up for cheap to go with Darling, who I think is stuck here.

Yeah, next year is a make or break year for Ned. Another year like the past 2 years and we'll probably not tender him.

22 years old, 2nd pro season, outperforming vet G on roster, carrying starters load, leading AHL in wins.

Watch him play...tell me about he movement in the crease, his puck tracking, his positioning, his stick handling, his athleticism.

I haven't watched him, I'm just going by the modest statistics (which do not include wins). And being better than two of the league's worst goaltenders isn't exactly much of a feather in his cap. I'm all for giving him a shot, but I'd rather he earn it instead of just being penciled in. We've seen how that works.

I was wondering who we got Zykov for and then I remembered we snagged him from LA in the Versteeg deal, the same day Eric was traded for Saarela, who has had a good season playing with Z in Charlotte. McKeown the previous year, also from LA in the Sekera trade looks like he could be a good player.

I know we faulted Francis for his inactivity at this years deadline (I'm guilty of this too), but he did a good job here. Hopefully Gauteier will pan out nicely.

He's earning it this season. He's the starter for a good AHL team...second most games played in the league...only giving up 2.5 goals a game.

Looking at his SV% and thinking he's not performing well is like looking at Darling's last season thinking he's the answer.
