Good bottom 6 player, a little too long of a cap hit for me but he was always going to get a nice payday.

A bit long of term for Dutch Gretzky but at least he's only 27 and should be ok if he stays healthy. A bit much on cash as well. But it's not Jody Shelley- or Dan Cleary-bad

Unlike some others, i'm not concerned with the length since he is only 27.

He is better than Cousins, Laughton, Read, White, VandeVelde and arguably Bellemare.

Paced for 38 points and 21 goals with Montreal last year. Obviously didn't fit in quite as well with Chicago, but he gives you some hope for production especially considering his ES scoring rates.

Team got better today, but also got uglier
Did you miss the news of Ryan White not coming back?

Thank you for demanding too much money, Ryan. :handclap:

Not only did he likely want too much, but unless he signs very soon, he's going to be one of those guys begging for a PTO as we saw last year.

I'm going to miss White, especially after the effort he gave in the playoffs this season.

But Weise should be a bit of an upgrade.

I am glad that we did not re-sign White. I wish him nothing than the best, and hope he finds a new team in the NHL, he had some very good moments and stretches. Although he's not good possesion player and often takes dumb penalties. It was time to move on from him. And likely required way too much money or term.

Weise is clearly upgrade over him, and very good upgrade, not necessarily 4th line player, but more of 3rd line winger, who can play in top 6 for limited time and be a contributor, play-off performer, winger with size.
