Crazy the ducks wanted a 1st to take him last offseason, then they probably could've taken him for a late pick and sold off at this TDL for another mid pick.

Dregger is a hack. He tweeted this immediately following the Meier deal, as every insider already reported JVR was viewed as option 2 for many. Dregger likely got no updates to any information. He just wanted to plant a flag on the most obvious thing, so people later think he was first.

No question in my mind that Fletcher is trading JVR with retention for Greenway.

It will be about the 17th former Wild player he has acquired or hired. The lazy f***.

We don't actually need you to retain, we can take his full hit quite easily.

JVR is still a really good hockey player. He might not be the most aggressive player without the puck. But he isn't easy to play against, and does a good job causing a scene in the opposing crease. He's a player I still notice when watching the Flyers, just by making some noise around the net.

I don't know if he's worth a 2nd round pick. But I'd be pretty happy if my team found a way to add him for a 3rd.

Is JVR's only asset still net front goals?

Feel like he's bad in the Dzone, not very fast, not very good at anything aside from standing in front of the net.
