The only issue is that it's a waste to have your two best centers play on the same line. Same reasons the Oilers split up McDavid and Draisaitl.

There was a hit after the whistle that put him on his ass, if that happened to Johnny or Gio we would all be pretty livid.

What I've noticed in this game is that he looks pretty good at the start of shifts, but starts labouring about half-way through. Looks like he's fighting through something to get going from a stand still. He'll see a loose puck and hesitate a moment before going to it.
