The whole team shit the bed in the second. They let down and quit working. Same thing could have been said for the Bennett line that got hemmed in a great deal.

We get it you don't like Monahan.

I would agree the Bennett line got hemmed in. But most of that was because of poor plays by Lucic.

TBH this has been one of their better playoff games. They've actually had some zone time and a scoring chance or two. They can't play in transition at all unless Gaudreau carries it which he hasn't done much.

Gaudreau has more touches behind his own goal line than anywhere else this period. The only way he gets the puck is if he literally goes and gets it and then he's forced to dump and change.

Dallas has played defense first all season and with last change they are matching who they want on the Monahan line. Fortunately it has opened things up for the Bennett line.
