I gotta say I'm not sold on Stajan playing wing. I'm not saying he won't be effective, I just don't know what to expect due to a lack of sample size. My gut says, he plays his best at C because he's more engaged in the game that way. I worry he will go Mason Raymond on the wing.

With Stajans' food speed and skating he could very well be better suited on the wing. Given the small sample size it's impossible to really tell what the results will be, but I'd prefer someone a bit more fleet of foot at C.

I think speed is as equally important at all positions today. I hope you're right though, I love Stajan and I'd love to see him have a good year and finish his last couple of seasons as a Flame on a high note. If he can play with a little edge, be good at both ends and score around 30pts, I'll be happy.

I actually like that line a lot, the shutdown one. However I would see it as more of a traditional 3rd, but based on minutes both 2a/b I suspect will get about equal time.

I like that quite a bit actually. Obviously not having a traditional 2nd line could be an issue for some people, but I would think scoring depth would still be there since Backlund/Frolik and Bennett/Brouwer are both able to put up some points and Shinkaruk has some skills that would make him able to put up some decent numbers too.
