After A New Hope came out and before anyone (even Lucas) knew that it would succeed and spawn a sequel and eventual empire, there was a book written as a follow up called "Splinter of the Mind's Eye". It's a pretty good book actually and would have been a decent follow up film, but since the author, along with everyone else, didn't know Luke and Leia were siblings yet, they expanded on their love interest in the book. It's a little weird to say the least.

The funny part about Dutchy's goal is that it was an own goal. The Flames player poked the puck in the net. We returned the favor on their goal.
