Rumor: Flames Cut Ties With Utah Grizzlies?

I now do not see the Grizzlies listed as an affiliate on the Flames website and on the ECHL's website, it lists Utah's only affiliate as Anaheim. So this is VERY interesting... I guess it's not noteworthy enough to have a story. I wonder if Calgary picks up another ECHL affiliate.

Any ideas on what might make them cut ties? I don't follow Utah, are they an exceptionally bad team or anything?

I don't know if anyone here follows Utah but I believe most ECHL/NHL affiliations are on a yearly basis. They weren't bad at all, I think they may have been a 5 seed last year.
