He's not affiliated with the organization. He's just like any other beat writer who covers a hockey team, but instead of working for a paper, he works for a blog. His sources are legit though. Has broken numerous stories over the past year.

I'm an Avalanche fan yet go to the Panthers board frequently to see if this guys has any new dirt. He's legit.
In saying that he didn't say anything about a trade in his post. Could be something about the arena or scouting staff or something like that.

Considering there is almost nothing else to talk about in August in the NHL, this is a great topic for the trade board. Honestly what else would you suggest?
