What a game. Finlands 4th line Nuutinen, Tukiainen, Arkko was fantastic Nuutinen in particular. Also
Piiparinen and Alalauri are darn good and nice to see Kallio dangles work even against Sweden.

Yep, Finland were the much better team. We maybe played decent the first period but after that we didnt do much. The top guys didnt show like anything imo.

Sweden won the 2nd game 5-2 and 3rd game 7-3. Any standouts?
The Olsson - Holmertz - Bartholdsson line looked good, they’re all really great at protecting the puck and were able to create a lot of zone-time. Elofsson and Hermansson had great games as well, the latter earning himself Sweden’s motm. However, I was most impressed by Josbrant who brought a great work ethic, solid two-way play, and was able to create offensively.

Hermansson, perhaps eager to showcase himself, held on to the puck a bit too long at times.

Furuvik looking snakebitten… Had several great chances, but end up pointless after these three games. I think there’s a possibility he gets switched with Nordmark for next tourney.

(Today’s game)

Not sure how strong the swedish 08s are supposed to be but seeing 1 1/2 games looks to be another middling age group for finland at best wonder if liitto gonna wake up this decade
