The Wumpus
bottomless pit supervisor
With the Fiddler trade, Stempniak trade, Savard acquisition, Gelinas trade, and 1st rounder trade-down, Shero has acquired two 2nds, two 3rds, and two 4ths in exchange for rentals, cap space, and a bust.

He actually has been a huge dissapointment compared to his last two seasons.
While playing with useless sacks of **** like Kalinin and DSP. He didn't perform up to standards, but a guy signed specifically to be our fourth line center not working out doesn't strike me as a "huge disappointment".
He also played for a Dallas team that was far better offensively than this team.

gonna miss his trademark drop to his knees faceoff move

I didn't expect a fourth round pick with how poor he's played. I'm ecstatic Shero pulled this off.
We can put Kalinin there or bring Coleman/Pietila up to play 4C and not miss a beat.
Jumping for joy when I heard this. Time for the kids to come up.
If Fiddler got a fourth we have to get a second for PAP.
Blandisi is already up.
Maybe we can combine some of this picks to move up and get another second.
Preferably in 2018 if that's something that is being looked at.
This year's draft class doesn't have depth.
Unless we score a top 5 pick in the lottery, I'm perfectly content trading any pick this year (including the 1st) for young talent (possibly someone who a team cant afford to re-up etc.) already in the league.
Zacha can't be happy. That's his surrogate dad in the locker-room.
Do you guys think this will have an effect on Zacha's play?
Who do you think will step up and mentor Zacha?
Will go down in the books as one of the most irrelevant stints in Devils history. Right up there with Dave Steckel, Matt Dagostini, Bobby Butler in my recent memory.
