Does anyone have a list of the fastest players to reach 100 playoff points?

I checked some likely candidates:
  1. 46 - Wayne Gretzky
  2. 50 - Mario Lemieux
  3. 67 - Jari Kurri
  4. 74 - Mike Bossy
  5. 75 - Sidney Crosby
  6. 77 - Nathan MacKinnon
  7. 78 - Denis Savard
  8. 80 - Glen Anderson
  9. 81 - Mark Messier
  10. 82 - Adam Oates
  11. 83 - Guy Lafleur
  12. 83 - Peter Stastny
  13. 85 - Kevin Stevens
  14. 86 - Joe Sakic
  15. 86 - Evgeni Malkin
  16. 86 - Brett Hull
  17. 88 - Peter Forsberg
  18. 89 - Gilbert Perreault
  19. 89 - Paul Coffey
  20. 90 - Bryan Trottier
  21. 90 - Phil Esposito
  22. 90 - Bernie Federko
  23. 90 - Sergei Fedorov
  24. 92 - Bobby Hull
  25. 93 - Jean Beliveau
  26. 93 - Ken Linseman
  27. 93 - Nikita Kucherov
  28. 94 - Al MacInnis
  29. 95 - Doug Gilmour
  30. 95 - Denis Potvin
  31. 97 - Stan Mikita
  32. 98 - Steve Yzerman
  33. 100 - Jaromir Jagr
  34. 100 - Bernie Nicholls
  35. 100 - Bernie Geoffrion
Players I checked who didn't get there in 100 games or less: Richard, Howe, Mahovlich, Ratelle, Clarke, MacLeish, Cournoyer, Bourque, Hawerchuk, Middleton, Bellows, Propp, Smith, Robitaille, Turgeon, Recchi, Francis, Modano, Sundin, Ovechkin, Getzlaf, Kane, Marchand, Krejci

This list was compiled manually and I can't guarantee accuracy or completeness. Let me know if you see any errors.

Obviously none of these numbers have been adjusted for era (so Jean Beliveau's 93 games is significantly more impressive than Ken Linseman's 93).

For the six players who scored at least 200 points, I checked if any of them made it to 200 within another 100 games. Crosby, Jagr and Anderson didn't. Kurri got to his 2nd 100 points in 77 games. Messier got his 2nd 100 points in 67 games. Gretzky reached his 2nd 100 points in 50 games. Then he reached his 3rd 100 points in another 57 games. One could argue that Gretzky has the 1st, T-2nd and 4th highest entries on this list.

Draisaitl is currently at 93 points in 56 games, and McDavid has 92 points through 56 games. They could end up 3rd and 4th on this list (unless I missed anyone). Mikko Rantanen is up to 98 points through 77 games.

Thanks for sharing. It looks like the three that I missed are Steve Larmer (great all-around player, somewhat boosted by playing the 1980s/early 1990's), Craig Janney (he got a lot of games early - almost 70 games by age 23, also in a high scoring era), and Daniel Briere (one of the more underrated playoff performers of the past 20 years).

You have Coffey & Potvin on the list (pelting expansion loosy goosy teams endlessly).

How about more recent 100 playoff-point Rafalski?

How does that dman's production stand up to others?

Draisaitl Is a playoff stud. Had some real dangerous shifts last night while getting to 100 in 60 and McDavid isn’t far behind.

The two of them just produce.. very jealous Leafs fan here saddled with 4 high paid playoff duds.
