The cinematic looked awesome. I hope Gus is actually in the game and they don't just have him in the beginning and end like a lot of far cry villains.

What am I saying, that's exactly what they'll do.

The interest has ran its course for me with these games. FC5 was fine but really once you’ve played 3 & 4, there’s just not much more they can add to make the game not be repetitive and tedious.

Even with the stories and settings being different, it’s still going to be...

-explore half of the map slowly
-beat enemy outposts
-destroy radio towers (or whatever the equivalent is) to unlock more of the map
-have some fun WTF?!?!? moments with the wildlife but mostly just collect animal skins and plants
-linear story missions
-have one or two trippy/psychedelic moments
-unlock second half of map
-enemies get a little tougher
-finish remaining outposts/towers
-final mission/boss fight

It’s not a bad formula at all. I loved the shit out of FC3, likes FC4, even liked Primal a little bit too, but the games can’t change that much so they don’t have the same appeal that they used to.

Far Cry 6 to me looks like the most exciting game of the serie by far.

Whole island, guerilla, city combat, revolution vibe, tropical island, antagonist is a dictator. Everything about this game excite me. I actually really liked the old FC but yes you got bored fast and easily I think this time (hopefully) it will be different. I also really dig the graphic and cuba vibe with the old cars and buildings.

I was burned out on the current Far Cry formula after Far Cry 4.

Personally, I still think Far Cry 3 is the best in the series.

I'll keep my eye on 6, but 5 was pretty mediocre.
