Double overager in the KHL. They were the #2 team this year so he didn't get a ton of minutes, but had a regular role even in the playoffs. Played U20s but I don't recall him too much.

His two goals this year

Well he is not one of the Russians/Belarussians I wanted

He has very limited offensive upside from what he has shown in VHL/MHL/KHL

A 4th liner is his upside unless something happens in KHL this year that see's him suddenly find an offensive game

Based on a quick google search: Another guy with good size, seems to hang around the net and can put up points. He'll be 21 in December.

I would have preferred the 19 year old Maxim Krovyakov ...but this older morecadvanced forward played on the VHL and KHL not in the juniorv league MHL ...so points harder vs.men but also probably only used on bottom lines /limited tome ..

Obviously Hawks liike and perhaps his defensive aspects at center....but they said he has great hands...only got 6:27 mons per game in KHL so explains the limited role /low points total...

Obviously Hawks think their is big upside if he gets expanded role.

No word on draws ability..If that is there then that woukd add to the value they see in him.

D Daniil Pylenkov or RW Zakhar Bardakov would have been better selections if looking for older Russian prospects

Both also showed much more in KHL playing for Vityaz

Both also are set to play for SKA St. Petersburg

Outside of brief hot streak in MHL he has shown no ability to put up pts

His time in VHL was unspectacular

He averaged 6:27 of ice time per game. Nobody is going to score much under those circumstances.

Scouting report has him as good along the boards, north/south player with good hands.... and steps it up in playoffs.

If memory serves me correct: He's got terrific hands, adequate skater. Strong as a bull, when he plants himself in front of the net he becomes an immovable object. Heavy shot. He's at home in the blue paint.
He's under contract till the end of the KHL 2023/2024 season so he has lots of time to prepare for the NHL game.
