NHL released their All-Star Game rosters today, Karlsson is going to represent the Sens in the Atlantic division. Will be Ottawa's lone All Star this year.

He didn't go last year, he and Methot went to Mexico during the break.

Fun fact: Karlsson sat in first class and Methot sat at the back of coach.

I understand that, its still pretty pointless to host something called the all star game and have guys like Scott and Komarov. I doubt Komarov is going to be the difference between a Leafs fan watching this and not.

Exactly.

Sucks that Hoff or Ryan or Andy can't be there, but many other teams could make just as valid arguments that they should have more guys there. Line has to be drawn somewhere.

I think that was in part because they realized it was Marsh's last year and he had been selected for an all star game early in his career and was snowed in and couldn't go. He was a commissioner selection.

It should be noted that he scored his only goal of the season at the All star game, and Ottawa's goalie Peter Sido......too lazy to google it... got the win 9despite only having like 4 wins at that point that year!
