We have several of his books, my kid loves them. Every week we read them to her at least a few times.

His death is sad news. But at least he got to live a long life and obviously accomplished what he was aspiring to - delighting and inspiring countless children to become "butterflies" themselves. I feel reminded about how seemingly small things can have a positive impact, and Eric Carle was blessed enough to see his work evolve its magic - deservedly so.
