Hello all,
I've been tasked with evaluating moving towards Microsoft BitLocker for end point encryption. Long story short is we have been using the Sophos suite (device management, anti-virus, and encryption) but it is a resource hog, and with some of the other applications some of our employees require it needs to be replaced.
I was looking at BitLocker since we've recently started migrating back to other Microsoft tools to replace 3rd party stuff (plus it's free). The reviews I've found indicate that it is really light resource-wise, which is key.
My question is: Has anyone used an Enterprise deployment of BitLocker? Staff is mostly remote so I'm also wondering about management of it.
I'm also open to hear other solutions that are also light on resources.
To note: It's a small business that is growing a new department fairly rapidly. We're contacting some outside help but since I'm the 'computer guy' I was asked to do an initial review/research into the potential of BitLocker to be our solution. The first place I figured I'd stop to ask was here.
