Can we not turn an injury thread into a discussion that get rid of this guy? Really classy to do to a player that just suffered a potential serious injury.

It's not for lack of ability. Kid gets 2 concussions a year. Remember savard? Amazing hockey player.

Bruin fan in peace. Bergeron has had four concussions. First was worst at age 22, out most of the season. Second one age 23, missed a month or two. Third age 25, missed a couple playoff games, came back and scored Stanley cup winning goal. Fourth age 27, missed a couple weeks, came back and played through 14 other injuries in the cup final.

Sidney Crosby has also come back very well after multiple concussions. Just saying, nobody knows, they're all different. He could recover like Bergeron or Crosby, just as much as he might end up like Savard.

Anyway, hope this is just a precaution and he is not actually concussed.

Good point. Thanks for stopping by.

Us Panthers fans just normally assume the worst!

Dumont will get a couple games. Definitely hits him shoulder to head and launches into him.

Well, not Ekblad. He's actually gotten worse after each concussion. Started out great, stud on the ice, was awesome. Now he's just a steaming pile of turds.

This is also Ekblad's second concussion since October, or whenever he got hit in World Cup, I forget.

I wonder if he will retire.

Not sure if there are any goons that can play....But it would be nice to have a couple of them next year.

^9/19/16 whiplash at WC? Likely a concussion and misdiagnosis as the guy was put back on the ice much too soon and never recovered. Put some of the blame on Aaron as a player needs to be pro-active and truthful when going thru concussion diagnosis protocol. His interview on 10/6/16 he didn't even know what day it was and did not seem to be thinking clearly IMO.

To me it's amazing fellow players knowing full well this young kid has had concussion problems continue to take liberties that put his career and future mental well being in jeopardy. Will the league do anything with this last hit? Doubtful as they haven't responded to dozens of similar or worse hits this season. If they do suspend the guy it will be because he is an AHL call-up who is a nobody in the leagues eyes. Likely payback from earlier Ekblad hit to one of their players. Keep pushing your agenda Bettman to bring back a sense of intimidation throughout the league. Look no further than teams looking to add these types of players back to their roster before TDL and call-ups from their AHL affiliates. :)

Feel terrible for Ekblad. Not just him; all the guys except the ones who have sucked for us. Best season ever followed by an absolute nightmare of a season.

Why didn't we all see this coming? We should know better honestly.

How many concussions has this poor kid taken guys? I saw the highlights this morning and felt terrible for this kid

At least 4.

Preseason with Canada before rookie year, Hendricks hit last January, hit at World Cup, and last night. Not counting any he may have suffered in juniors, etc.

What is the feeling from the organization on how serious this concussion is?

I think they have to plan for Ekblad retiring.
