As tempting as that first is Puljujarvi seems to be a complete bust and Lucic is bringing major negative value to this trade. Assuming that this trade is to be made before the TDL and we can't know where your pick is going to end up, I'm going to say you need to add at least Yamamoto to this deal.

Yeah i dislike it quite a bit. Edler for the 1st and pulji isn’t unreasonable. (Since we’re pretending edler would waive for edm). Lucic for goldy is horrific even when you factor in Benning. There’s no way i can imagine lucic coming here without louie going back.

That trade would virtually ensure that two GM's get fired instead of just one. Chiarelli is already in for the long-drop if the Oilers fail to make the post-season. And if Jimbo makes that deal, he'd be prime candidate for the unemployment line as well.

How much of Francesco's money can you blow on another anvil of a contract like Lucic before the owner steps in?

That's a good point. I'd say if they want to beef up their D even more. They're a team that loves overstocking on D.

Don't see them going for the fences at the deadline. They have a solid d-core already 5 players deep. Up front they've been able to sustain injuries ridiculously well all year. If anything I see them more going for a bunch of extra depth guys for when injuries do hit. MDZ and Granlund I could see them being in on for depth and versatility.

As for the OP yikes no thanks. Lucic, Eriksson and Gudbrandson on the same team is laughable. That would be 16M in cap on players who can't contribute jack all these days. Honestly take out Edler and Goldobin on our end and add in Gagner and I'd still be hesitant.
