I’m still baffled by what his vision is precisely. I think this team for whatever reason has vastly over performed under Monty, especially this season without top 2 centers.

They signed 5 guys last year at the expense of letting bertuzi go.

They did what they had to do but that was the definition of bargain shopping.

The bruins have enough talent to grind out wins in the regular season where most these teams are pacing and coasting.

They clearly do not have cup caliber roster and you have to ask your self if it's just good enough to play a couple rounds or if the standard needs to be higher.

Sweeney job is secure because the playoff revenue. Not because of their playoff success.

This feels like 2013 in Vancouver. The players knew it was the end in 2012 and lost in the first round then in 2013 lost to San Jose badly and the rebuild began.

You have one period to show that game 1 wasn't a fluke and that this isn't a gentleman's sweep.

Just watched the first two periods with a friend that hasn’t watched the Bruins all season. She is a season-ticket holder for the Golden Knights. I felt embarrassed the entire time. She asked me a couple times who are good players were or who we can count on to score as she was amazed at how poor our team seemed. Quite pathetic to say the least .

Sweeney and Neely have built Bruin teams that are well-suited to achieve during the regular season. They haven't been able to excel in the playoffs for years ('19 was a fluke because Washington and Tampa were eliminated for us).

Don Sweeney is incredibly overrated. He rode the perfection line to competitiveness for nearly a decade. Having that line locked up for 18m for that long and only giving them competent 2nd liners once completely limited this core's potential.

Well, the good thing is that GM’s always build with a recency bias. So if the Panthers model becomes the new model, we Atleast will eventually have a team that doesn’t get pushed around. How far down the road? I’m unsure.
