For all the complaints about Monty doing this, that or the other, end of the day it's up to the players on the ice to get it done, and they've been collectively poor tonight. Very nervous and unsettled and it shows. Is it on the coach to get his players mentally prepared? Yes, to a point. But it can't be forced. The guys are either going to knuckle down and sort themselves out and get this done, either here or in a subsequent game, or they're not.
Right now it's going to take one bit of brilliance or luck to end this one. Crossing everything that it goes the right way.
