I'm glad he got his first taste- but if Gryzleck had the same night and put em short handed twice he'd get roasted in here

Just listened to today's Morning Bru, they saw it similar to those of us that liked Lohrei's game.

Yes, he contributed to that goal against. Yes that won't be the last one he contributes to (negatively). But the way he skates the puck out and his ability to absorb hits means he's gonna stay. Lohrei drives game pace. And impressively. But obviously Peeke over Lohrei isn't a close decision. The question will be Lohrei over Shatty. They are really limiting Shatty's minutes now, he's a gadget player.

Hopefully those bad goals against come down to one every 3 games.

Heinen had a very underrated game - the pass to set Zacha up on breakaway Short handed in first, then Marchand for winner

That was another good topic on Bru today, where to put Heinen. This last game Jake was up with Zacha and Pasta, Heinen down with Freddy and Geekie, and Pasta they moved all over the place to get him more ice time.

It's an interesting question. As we've said on here going on years, Jake needs to play with our best. I dunno, seems like we almost have no choice but to leave him up there.

Btw the shocking stat was how few SOG Pasta had despite all the extra shifts. They have to free him up a bit for more shooting lanes. (I thought that bad angle blast was gonna be in for sure)

Welcome to the Jungle
Someone go tell there fans Samsonov was 3rd. Their board was killing, Samsonov, Marner and Keefe last night more then anyone else. Nylander and Tavares got some heat too, but Samsonov, Marner and Keefe were in almost every other post in the PGT and it was ugly.
And I forgot Liligren (sp?). They absolutely despise him more then Grezclyk is despised by Bruins fans. To be honest with you, I think all their D are ready to throw no look passes when our forecheck is coming, not a single one seems willing to take the body to make the right play. I feel our breakouts are far more composed.

For some reason, I’ve only got one thing on my mind this morning…

Thought Heinen had a very strong game last night. Really effective stick work and nice touch on some of his passes. Really hope they are able to find a fair deal to keep him here. Just a very versatile and valuable player.

Yeah my sense is JVR won't be back, Lauko probably press box/Providence, Maroon won't be back I don't think (Brazeau time).

So Poitras, Heinen, maybe a young Providence player.

Jake is playing himself right back onto the team.

I'd hoped for a roster spot for a 25g scoring FA, and I want Boqvist back.

I don’t have an issue with him coming back ,but would prefer he be down farther in the lineup.

It's a question of Gryz vs Shatenkirk for me - and if they're tied to Shatenkirk as a PP specialist with major sheltered minutes at even strength then who am I to argue (the PP has come to life).

Lorhei is getting a ton of goodwill because of his age and potential, but objectively he hurt their chances last night and will likely do it again before the playoffs are over. I'm fine with giving him some rope, but he looked ready to hang himself with it last night - putting them shorthanded twice and almost gifting a goal late.

Well the Leafs had been targeting Marchand every game to try and get him off his game ,news flash Leafs he had been off his game for awhile, but you may have just gotten him back on his game.lol

Needs to stay out of the box the stick work is normally going to get called and he needs to avoid doing it.

If I prepped everything and provided fonts and graphics would someone, who has photoshop, be willing to possibly post the GDT Saturday? Nasty weather is expected starting early tomorrow morning through midnight Saturday and I want to be prepared just in case.

Message me if interested

Marchand was amazing - thank you Bert, you are feeding him exactly what he needs. He was smiling on the bench after one of their tangles, he laps that stuff up. I hope @dafoomie is making a highlights reel, it is so much better than anything produced by SportsNet.

Imagine if Marchand tripped Sammy like that? Leafs fans are delusional and the media feeds it. Keefe knows he can't lose this series, he has no strategy other than bitching about things the fans want to hear. The culture in Toronto is a rotten to the core, keep it that way please.

Enjoy the break boys, it is going to be beautiful weather and will be inspirational to be in the hometown of the GOAT. I hope those rumours are true.
What are the rumors? Are they going to Parry Sound?

Problem for Keefe isn't lack of PPs. It's the $50m garbage show that skates around during the PP. Coach up your team, not the refs.

Cracks me up that 99% of the bitching the Leaf fans are doing this morning would have been solved if Samsonov made the most pedestrian of saves on Frederic's goal. Bertuzzi and Marchand were both going at it, you either call them both or don't call either but they wanted JUST Marchand called? Give me a break.

Forbs might be close, I`d go with him before Lohrei. Love the kid, think he`s going to be a terrific player but it`s a massive ask of a rookie to be tossed into playoff action

Hey is it just me or is the NHL overlaying fake crowd noise on the game highlights videos on their app? I was just watching the re-cap of the Kings/Oilers game, and it was pretty much all fake crowd noise on it. I then watched the Bruins game re-cap, and pretty much the same thing. It's like adding a laugh track to a TV show, I can't stand it. For what it's worth the app was so much better the last few seasons, and sucks now. Yes, I realize I'm old.
Thank you! I thought the same thing this morning. I wanted to see who won the Oilers/LA game……and the replay had this fake crowd noise. I’m thinking why is that? The game was in Edmonton and it wouldn’t have been that loud when
a scored……silly to use that stuff. Not a fan anymore of the NHL app. They used to play the Bruins goal horn when they scored (or whatever team you selected) and boo when the Bruins got scored on. It was fun and different. Now it’s just a crap app…..and sometimes it just easier to Google the stat you are looking for vs cycle through all they have to find something.

yes Heinen should be started as a 3rd liner, but his values is he can be very valuable there, AND he can be very valuable playing up to the first or second line.
This is 100% where me and my hard core Bruins buds all are at

We aren’t unanimous on much but Heinen we land where you posted

I can’t believe anyone not wanting to bring back

He’s not going to cost much and lost on most people is if not him the player replacing is not doing it for free - also you usually get what you pay for

Pavlov's dog.

Never fails.

What's worse is that I doubt Sunny Jim will respond in kind. Which, you know, he might as well.

There's little to lose in doing so, but it's unlikely he will.

It's kind of like a passive power play, when, for whatever reason, no one shoots the puck on net. They could. It's pretty simple, yes? But they don't.

I don't understand it, but they don't. And that, to me, is Montgomery.

He's not Craig Berube. He's not John Tortorella. He's not even Sheldon Keefe.

He's Sunny Jim.
