Who will start in goal? Boston coach Jim Montgomery isn’t saying.

“Do you guys play Wordle?” he asked the media on Monday morning. “… The goalie tonight has two vowels in his first and last name.”

I kept misreading this as “syllables” instead of “vowels” and was trying to figure it out. Now I feel silly.

Boston has their own demons in the playoffs. Just gotta make em check under the bed

That's the thing - Boston choked a 3-1 lead last year. It's not impossible being down 2-0 but you'd rather avoid it.

Nylander being out worked in their favour though. Took away the Leafs second best goalscorer and second highest scorer and no one knows why. It's not easy to replace a 40 goal/98 point guy.
