Congrats!

Edmonton Oilers forward Jordan Eberle is the No. 1 player in Team Canada history at the World Juniors, as determined by a poll of 25 hockey experts for TSN's Team Canada's 40 Greatest Juniors special (Tonight at 7:30pm et/4:30pm et on TSN and TSN Mobile TV).

Eberle headlines a list of 40 elite Canadian World Juniors players that includes Eric Lindros, Wayne Gretzky, Jason Allison, and Manny Legace.

The list was compiled in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the World Juniors tournament.

Eberle played for Team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Championship in 2009 and 2010, winning a gold and silver medal. In 2009, Eberle scored one of the most memorable goals in Canadian World Juniors history against Team Russia in the semifinal round. The following year, he was named tournament MVP and Best Forward.

Eberle is also Team Canada's all-time leading goal-scorer (14) and second in points (26) – five behind scoring leader Lindros, who represented Canada at the tournament in 1990, 1991, and 1992.

Good for him. His goal is probably one of my favourite hockey moments.

He almost did it again by himself the year after as well.

Nugent-Hopkins will top the list after this year.

Such a small sample size. Utterly meaningless. He was just there to take advantage of Tavares's magical play.

J/K, AWESOME! :handclap:

My 3 fav Canadians at the WJC: Eberle, G Anderson, R Brind'Amour

As great as that 2009 moment was, he was completely dominant in 2010. I wish people talked about that more.

Eberle was great but this should have been Eric Lindros' win. The guy was a force, and basically beat Russia with Bure, Kozlov, Yushkevich, Mironov, Ozolinsh, Kasparitis winning Canada gold all on his own.

Unless you're thinking Mike Craig, Patrice Brisebois and Kent Manderville were intregal parts of it.

This part is real crummy logic. You're trying to put forth these players as NHL players, not JUNIOR players and at its heart, is dishonest. It's like saying "oh, you think TODD HARVEY was big for his junior team." Well...yeah, he was huge.

And anyways, Mike Craig was one of the tourney all-stars. But you're trying to put the idea as they guys as PRO players, not as their junior versions...where they were top of their class.

Mike Craig was a tournament all star for the same reason Mikael Renberg used to score 20+ goals a year.
