Thought this was a pretty cool read on the Easter Epic. Was interesting hearing the guys talk about how surreal it was and they actually saw people sleeping in the stands, lol. I remember my dad telling me that Bill Clement had just about lost it. He had a tie around his head and looked like he was on speed during an intermission, but when the cameras came back on he had pulled himself back together and was professional, almost like he got scolded during intermission.

My fandom hadn't really set in at this point so I didn't get to experience this game, but I enjoyed reading about it and remember my dad talk about it, lol.

It was a GREAT game, If recall Kelly Hrudey had like 74 saves and alot were awesome. 2:30 am, I remember my dad actually jumping for joy that night.

I was at the game. I remember sometime during the 4th OT the organist playing the theme from the Twilight Zone. Very appropriate.

Bob Mason was tremendous in goal for the Caps, but I remain convinced that if Pete Peeters was in net we would have won in regulation :sarcasm:

it was a great moment, perhaps the last great moment for the dynasty stars , although, Bossy was out, Nystrom, Gillies, Goring and Tonelli were gone. I think Potvin was injured too? it really was a miracle they won, Hrudey was awesome!

Very weird I was at the Hicksville Ground Round to start the night and ended up in some bar in Rockville Center that I never went to before or after that night.

Hicksville Ground Round, gave out free popcorn and the chicken wing sauce was not a really Buffalo sauce but was very good.

Was bar hopping in Sunnyside, Queens and had changed bars after every OT..my friends were mostly Hickey agnostic but I screamed my head off when we won.

My friend base was the same way, just not into hockey and never have been... my hockey friends were always people that I was friends with but did not hang around with, kind of like this board LOL

Interesting for me I was born in 1990 so I only grew up with memories of Scott Stevens as a devil. He was a young defenseman in that game for the Caps.

Hard to believe it but Hrudey stopped 73 of 75 shots and there were only 3 power plays
Got to hand it to the refs for letting the players decide the outcome.
