Two young guys (drake is 23 and Joel is 21) who will likely be top 6 wingers for years to come.

Which one will be better for the next 10 years?

Drake Batherson:
19-20 AHL: 44 games 54 points

19-20: 23 games 3 goals 7 assists 10 points
20-21: 56 games 17 goals 17 assists 34 points

Joel Farabee:
19-20 AHL: 5 games 4 points

19-20: 52 games 8 goals 13 assists 21 points
21-22: 55 games 20 goals 18 assists 38 points

Do you expect either to be first line wingers?

To answer the second question--I think Farabee will produce like a first-liner. In his prospect days Farabee drew comparisons to Parise. That level of production (except maybe the 94 pt. season) seems reasonable.

Batherson seems more likely to produce like Oshie and top out around 60 points.

IMO Farabee will be a low end- average level first liner, Batherson a solid second liner. Close but Farabee for me.

Took Batherson as a homer, but Farabee is likely the answer...Both great young players though

I'm a Flyers fan, so I might be biased, but I did love watching the Sens last year so I saw a lot of Batherson too. I have to go with Farabee here. He scored 31 of his points at ES, whereas Batherson only scored 19 points at ES.

I'm bullish on Farabee and I wouldn't be surprised if he leads the Flyers in goals this year.

Tough one. Farabee I think has the higher upside but I like the sandpaper that Batherson has. Good poll.

Its a very under appreciated part of his game, and hes a big boy so he can actually hit people hard when hes on his game.

And he plays on a line with guy who could probably even inspire Johnny Gaudreau to start throwing some hits, so I would expect that were going to see Batherson evolve into a fairly physical player, and a hybrid type of power forward.

It felt like Farabee took a step back last season while Batherson took a step forward. Both missed time to injuries. I'm leaning towards Batherson now but it is still close. I have a feeling Farabee will have a great year despite Philly being a dumpster fire this season.

Batherson has clearly separated himself from Farabee.
So after both players had 1 injury shortened season, Batherson is the defacto player who will be better for the next decade? Sorry but maybe in 5 or 6 years you can make that determination more accurately. Especially when Batherson is 2 development years ahead of Farabee.
