They must be thinking the Bs pass the NYR. Note that they also have us as M3 (not as WC2). So they must like our chances in our 2 games against the NYR?

I'm not sure I wouldn't rather take my chances in the Atlantic bracket. Play the Bs and then, if advancing, the winner of TOR/FLA (rather than being with NYR/CAR/TBL). Crazy? :dunno:
I was under the impression they were updating things in realtime based on the actual standings.

You'll hear it from me too.
Yeah, I should not have said "other fans"!

The good news is, there's no 3v3 or SO in the playoffs, and if you lose a game 7-0 and win the next game 2-1, all that matter is the series is tied. ;)

Or, lose a game 8-0 then win the next game 3-2 in OT

Why not? They are facts.
Sure, absolutely. Not suggesting otherwise or complaining. The numbers are what they are.

Although, while goal differential is more legit, the whole "loser points" thing is kind of bogus. It basically means a team had a lot of "ties" at the end of regulation and then did badly in 3v3 and SOs.

And even goal diff isn't 100% predictive. For example, last year's SCF featured the 9th best regular season goal diff team vs. the 16th best team.

One thing to note about goal differential is what it was under two different coaches.

I'm maybe 67% confident that we make the playoffs.

I'm 100% confident that if we do make the playoffs we will be hearing the phrases "loser points" and "goal differential" a LOT from other fans.

Toronto has committed seven penalties through 40 minutes, to Pittsburgh’s one.

Edit: make it five, double minor was called back.

No. Want Detroit to win their next two against Washington and Pens. They can only compete for WC2, and that would help for metro 3
If the Isles go in on a nice win streak and there’s no building issues with their opponent the Isles can win the first round. They need to play a full 60 minute game though.

I don’t have a preference, but a 1st round match with NYR would be grand.

I'm hoping against hope that the Bruins catch the rangers and the Lightning wind up facing the rags round 1.

If that doesn't happen I hope we face them. Sorokin somehow abandoning his Clark Kent and finding his cape again is about the only path through.

The rags pp vrs our pk could be a recipe for disaster. Perhaps we put a scare into them early and the pressure mounts for a choke job.
