I'm not sure I wouldn't rather take my chances in the Atlantic bracket. Play the Bs and then, if advancing, the winner of TOR/FLA (rather than being with NYR/CAR/TBL). Crazy?

And even goal diff isn't 100% predictive. For example, last year's SCF featured the 9th best regular season goal diff team vs. the 16th best team.

If the Isles go in on a nice win streak and there’s no building issues with their opponent the Isles can win the first round. They need to play a full 60 minute game though.

I don’t have a preference, but a 1st round match with NYR would be grand.
