If he ends up only needing say 51 or 52 next year and he has a fairly healthy year then it seems like a foregone conclusion he will imo

* He's only 2 behind Sundin's career ES goal total (273).
* 5 behind Sittler (18) for most hat tricks.
* Next season he'll crack the top 5 for points as well (George Armstrong, 713).

And yes, he'll pass Sundin's career goal total next year as knowing it's in reach will push him. May very well get 60 again too.

Considering he had his worst goal scoring year since his rookie year last year and still hit 40, this should be a pretty easy thing for him.

I’m interested where he ends up all time. He’s gonna have 500 before 30.

At some point Matthews and Marner will hold pretty much all the Leafs offensive records.
True enough.

But will they hold those records having held the Cup?
