The Devils return home to play against the Nashville Predators and will try to extend their winning streak to four

John Hynes and his Predators are coming into tonight off a 2-1 OT win against Anaheim

With Marino day-to-day, here's how your New Jersey Devils may be starting tonight

Tatar - Hischier - Bratt

Haula - Hughes - Mercer
Wood - McLeod - Zetterlund
Sharangovich - Boqvist - Holtz

Siegenthaler - Hamilton
Graves - Severson
Smith - Bahl

Vanecek

And for the Predators, absolutely yoinked from their boards, they may lineup like this

Forsberg - Parssinen- Granlund
Niederreiter- Johansen - Duchene
Sanford - Glass - Jeannot
Smith - Sissons - McCarron

McDonagh - Josi
Ekholm - Carrier
Lauzon - Fabbro

Saros

After an eventful game against the Rangers, can Jack Hughes keep up his torrid pace of late or will the team's depth be tested yet again

Kind of a random opponent sandwiched in between two rivalry games, but I definitely want to keep the win streak going.

Juuse Saros has given us fits in the past, as has Nashville in general. Would love to keep up the pace of play that we have all season long and shove it down their throats.

I hope Bahl plays well enough to earn some more time. I know it's tough to make any lineup changes by choice when the team is rolling, but I do think a bit of a rotation in the bottom six and on D will help the team over the course of the season.

So is Marino just out for swelling or something? Was it ever confirmed as nothing more than some dental work? It would be really bad if this turned into a several weeks kinda thing...

Novo confirmed his trip to the dentist was unrelated to the upper body injury. So not sure when he'll be back, but still day-to-day so hopefully soon

Amanda Stein replied to a tweet yesterday implying it was unrelated to the dental stuff, so who knows.

Random, shmandom.

I want this team to BURY the Preds and Hyney-head.

Call it a personal payback for the years of suckitude and bad coaching (yes, he's a bad coach. I don't give a rat's ass what any other Hynes-apologist says) myself and many other Devils fans have had to endure with this clown.

Ok, I'm assuming several weeks minimum because that seems to be the way these things work. We got lucky with Nico early in the season though so who knows.

I don't get the hate for Hynes. He wasn't a great coach, he definitely deserved his firing, and he did shit talk the team a bit on the way out, but whatever. I don't have any particular animosity for him anymore.

Yeah, no animosity towards Hynes from me, easy meme jokes aside.

I think he is a particular type of coach who can be motivating for the right type of players, but schematically, I think that's where he struggles.

No ill will towards him at all, wish him the best.

Agreed, but I'll never understand hate for any coach or player that didn't leave by their own choice. Hell, rarely hate players who do leave when it is their choice, but at least that's understandable....

An organization as a whole told you by trade or firing, they don't want you anymore, don't really need anymore than that.

It's fine not to have animosity toward someone you dislike but the dislike will always remain.

That knucklehead was a symbol of constant failure here..year after year after year. :madfire:

And it would give me great satisfaction if the Devils were to drop a TD (plus an extra point) on his Preds (even though, most likely I will have to settle for a 4-1 victory but I digress).
