Fun Rocky trivia, since I know almost everything Rocky.
The room where that scene was shot really had an extremely foul odor. So that whole “It stinks! This whole place stinks!” Was ad libbed by Stallone because of the disgusting smelling place.
I’m pretty sure the interior of Rocky’s apartment was actually shot in LA, if I’m not mistaken. And not Philly, where the exterior scenes of the building were shot. The interior of Mickey’s gym was also shot in LA for some reason and not Philly like the exterior shots of the building.
I can’t remember if it smelled so bad in there because of the bathroom or what.

I might be giving Lindy too much credit, but I think part of the idea is to have Holtz grow his game, so as not to be a guy who relies on finding soft ice.
At the very least I see it as a byproduct of Holtz playing on the 4th line.

It's good, I was worried it was gonna be the usual high production value but no script garbage that hollywood has flooded streaming services with the past 10 years but I enjoyed it a lot.
Haven't looked into it much but isn't it another one of those "White guy goes to foreign exotic land and solves all their problems" deals?
