I turned it off at 2-0 since Jr was up from his nap and wanted to play. What a nice surprise when I resumed later.

Ovie's stats sneaked up on me. How is he 6-9-15 in 13gp? I feel like it's been a quiet year for him so far.
Too bad you left when you did. This board traded Ovie during the 2nd intermission. Bum

Because it adds credence to her point that it was something that was actually worthwhile?

Because she isn’t a Pierre “lover”, and realizes that most of us think he’s a clown?

Did I really need to spell all of that out?
It really doesn't add anything. Looks more like "hey, I'm in the mainstream, I'm hating that person like most of you so don't come at me for agreeing with him". Yes, you really needed to spell that all out although that didn't make any sense and I'd prefer the source of the comment speak for herself.

So you want to be told 2x. Ok. Suit yourself

That late goal by the Devils totally screwed me. So angry.

caps -1.5 to of 6 (push) to Pelicans money line to
Pelicans over 230.5.

4 teamer paid 15 to 1. Even the push would’ve still been around 10 to 1. Or get ONE freaking EN goal and Bazinga!!!

why are the Caps so bad at 5 on 6? Have they scored an EN all season? Hate it. HATE

I had a widely bigger return wheeled in if WSH scored over 3,5 against BUF last game. Dahlin dives face first to Carlson EN slapper at the last second to save them a 3-1 loss.

Im still drinking.

I'm perfectly fine with Ovy playing PP specialist and less ice time at his age. Save the energy for when it counts, but he'll has to be willing to take less money at this stage. This is by know means a knock on him. I actually believe he will take a pay cut to stay in D.C. as a lifetime Cap.

The thing with Ovie is, that he still has the beastmode ability (just look at the Flyers game 2 weeks ago, wow). He is still the reigning Rocket-winner. He has still been our best player in the last 3 playoffs. Age and miles has to show somewhere. He will have quieter games and cold streaks, but he will be there when we need him the most.

Because he's the hero Washington deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent scorer, an impactful force, a Fat Russian.

Save those fancy prose for the playoffs.

To think Kuzy ended up with fourth line minutes and I didn’t even notice his third period absence says a lot about how he’s performing 5v5. It’s becoming harder and harder to say with certainty who our top-6 centers are besides Backstrom, with Dowd and Eller’s ice time going up and up.

I do think treating Eller as a middle-6 guy, rather than a clear 3C, has its advantages though. An Ovi-Eller-Wilson or Ovi-Eller-Oshie line is terrifying in terms of rounding out size and speed. I’d also like to see more of Panik-Kuzy-Vrana, given their speed should make them effective against certain opponents and if you have to bench three players for not being productive, it’ll be those guys.

Noticed that Kuzy worked a heckuva lot harder in one of his few 3rd period shifts - legs were in motion the entire time he was out on the ice, and even battled for the puck in a committed manner. So, yeah, Lavi - keep sending him a message. He needs it

I blame myself for last game's poor performance. Didn't really bring a solid effort with the GDT (hell I double-posted it somehow), overslept, had too many carbs for breakfast. Basically I've got a big ego and thought everything would be fine but I'm getting old and good preparation is more necessary now than when I was a young pup.

ovikovy817 is more of a lunchpail poster and he's brought the effort so far. He might not be flashy but he doesn't take anything for granted, takes it one post at a time, battles hard in the forum trenches, gives 110%.

I'm feeling good about today.

This year I'm 1-1-0
Ovi scored in both games and he's 3+2=5

BTW, do I need to recall that I was perfect (3-0) in the SCF 2018? :sarcasm:

Ovi-Eller-Wilson looks like a line that is fast and hardworking but maybe not having a skilled passer who will send the puck to Ovi.

So currently I would still use 8-19-43

Vrana-Eller-Oshie has good mix and a history of effective play.

Whats left is Sheary-Kuzy-Panik. Id try to look at them for 15-20 games, yeah. At least as a starting lineup. Maybe Sprong for some games.

I think splitting up Ovi and Kuzy in the way that Lavi has done was designed to get each of them playing with some more defensively responsible/board and puck battling lineys.

If you insist...

9 out of every 10 things that come out of Pierre's mouth are garbage, especially as regards the Caps, and listening to him spout off is typically a deterrent to watching NBC games. So giving credence to anything he says, again especially about the Caps, requires a disclaimer/caveat. It's about pointing out that this particular broadcast was an outlier.

Perhaps I should have phrased it as "Pierre was uncharacteristically rational today..."

Would that have suited you better?

I know there is a lot of chatter that kuzy and/or vrana need to be gone, but the best outcome is if Lavi can get them going before the playoffs
Agreed, I thought the whole point of bringing in a guy like Lavi was to get more out of Kuzy & Co. Let's give it a couple more months and see if it worked.

Huh, had no clue that was why you said that. Thankfully it should be really clear now to the poster that needed clarification.

weird!

I feel like you stuck a little bit in the 2010-2017 era of watching Caps games with Pierre on the mic but yeah, this wording paints a more understandable picture.

If you mean commenting on one dumb post of yours that mushroomed into a dialogue as “follow you around”, then ok, I guess so.

I could say your nitpicking of Cali’s original post on the Pierre topic as “having nothing better to do” from your end, but that also be construed as “weird” so I won’t say anything.
