LW - Ilya Kovalchuk - 50GP 37G 24A 61Pts +12
Really a no-brainer. Not just leading the league in goals, has 9 more (over 30%) than the next closest player. Also has 9 more points than the next closest LW. Tied for 2nd in the league in SH goals. Leads in Shooting %.

C - Chris Drury - 50GP 16G 406A 56Pts + 20
Second in the league in assists while also playing a sound two-way game. Has been very physical, second on the team with 102 hits (also more than any of the EC centers amongst the leagues point leaders) while staying out of the box (only 12 pim).

G - Kevin Weekes - 29-14-6, .900 s%, 2.54 GAA
Tied for the league lead in wins, boasts solid numbers despite having an offensive minded team infront of him.

Coach -
This team was expected to compete for a playoff spot, instead looks to be cup contenders. Amongst the top defensive teams despite a big name goalie or top defenseman.

GM -
Rich Epstein took a big chance this summer, bringing in skilled players Ilya Kovalchuk and Petr Bondra. It worked. Also brought in Alexei Zhamnov and Jaroslav Modry via trade, giving the team depth down the middle and in d.
Two seasons ago this team finished dead last. Last season it missed the playoffs. This year it currently is tied for the 3rd best record in the HFNHL.
In addition, there is only 1 starter who is a potential UFA, and there are plenty of top prospects waiting in the wings. Epstein has put together a contender while building a team for the future at the same time.
