Why’s that? He’s paid little in the AHL and they have a few contract spots available.

Not getting ice time in the A because of the veteran rules (Czarnik and ZAR plays instead of him for example). Most likely looking for other opportunities where he can play more.

He’s certainly betting on himself asking for this, as he’s making $150k. I’d heard weeks ago he asked Detroit to loan him somewhere else in the AHL and they were trying to accommodate him.

His role in GR just wasn’t what he expected. Probably due to Lombardi playing a much bigger role than Detroit expected going into the season. Before camp, they were still thinking of sending him back to the OHL. So it’s been good for Detroit, but bad for Stevens.

Like I said, maybe he has a deal in Europe for next year as well. He’s not getting another NHL deal at this point.

I always thought at least one of the guys from that Northeastern line would have a successful go at it. Guess Adam Guadette as a AAAA player is the best of the bunch.

holy shit another one!!! this has to be a record for in season terminations
Really feels like it!
But not actually..!
Though with the pace we're going and knowing there's always some at the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised to top 20, which would put us in the higher end.

These aren't just in-season, but going back to 2012-13, before tapping out...

2023–24: 15 Terminations (10 Mutual; 5 Non-Mutual)
2022–23: 18 Terminations (17 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2021–22: 30 Terminations (26 Mutual; 4 Non-Mutual)
2020–21: 12 Terminations (11 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2019–20: 24 Terminations (22 Mutual; 2 Non-Mutual)
2018–19: 39 Terminations (38 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2017–18: 17 Terminations (17 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2016–17: 12 Terminations (10 Mutual; 2 Non-Mutual)
2015–16: 16 Terminations (15 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2014–15: 17 Terminations (17 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2013–14: 12 Terminations (12 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2012–13: 4 Terminations (4 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)

Mutual vs non-mutual is often not explicitly stated by teams unless for obvious reasons, but you can often glean if a player is refusing to report vs asking out.
And these numbers are also not counting buyouts.

If you can. I am talking about in season this happening. We have had a lot.

Only 7 8, with Stevens going through, for this season, then. 2018-19 was still crazy busy
We're currently tied for the second fewest in that timeframe, save for the lockout shortened 12-13, but I'm sure we'll have a couple more by the end of the season

2023–24: 8 Terminations (6 Mutual; 2 Non-Mutual)
2022–23: 14 Terminations (14 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2021–22: 20 Terminations (18 Mutual; 2 Non-Mutual)
2020–21: 7 Terminations (7 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2019–20: 12 Terminations (11 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2018–19: 25 Terminations (25 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2017–18: 9 Terminations (9 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2016–17: 8 Terminations (7 Mutual; 1 Non-Mutual)
2015–16: 12 Terminations (12 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2014–15: 14 Terminations (14 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2013–14: 7 Terminations (7 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)
2012–13: 0 Terminations (0 Mutual; 0 Non-Mutual)

Is Scandella still any good? Goddamn quietest player I’ve seen, but he was good at low key f***ups for the Sabres.
He had some hip issues i believe was injured last year. He is doing an all right job right now. He is 3rd pairing and pk. He is always a plus player. We could retain 50% for scandella and buch.

Wallinder kasper 1st 2024 2nd 2025

It seems yzerman likes trading with blues. Walman perron fabbri ext

Kasper ain't going anywhere and we have Scandella at home.

Kasper, Danielson, Savage and Lombardi are our center prospects, Wings definitely cannot afford to trade Kasper/Danielson duo unless there is a legit center coming back.

Buchnevich can play center but is better on the wing. Buchy retained will cost wallinder kasp and 1st.

Honestly i dont think detroit is ready to go all in yet. I would be ok with wallinder 1st 2024 and 1st 2025. I dont think that helps blues though.

Yeah, improvements will be made during the off season. I think it would smarter to go as far as this team can and then see which position needs improvement.

Everyone says this then they end up getting traded for like a 1st and meh prospect. Especially wingers. I'll eat it if I'm wrong, but I bet he gets moved for a lot less if he does get traded.

Tarasenko and orielly got that. Buch has 1.5 years so it drives the price up he technically isnt a rental
